Responsibilities:

Ability to complete a month-end and year-end closing processes
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics, and variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Maintain the chart of accounts, an orderly accounting filing system and a system of controls over accounting transactions
Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries
Accounts Payable and bank reconciliations
Assist with processing vendor invoices for payment
Responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
High volume of bank reconciliations
Assists the Controller with the preparation and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Code expenses to the proper general ledger accounts
Responsible for multi-entry accounting
Follow and improve existing processes to improve controlling

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5+ years of experience as an Accountant
Experience working with multiple entities/companies is required
Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition is a plus
Working with COD businesses
Knowledge of GAAP standards
QuickBooks Online experience
Must be an excellent problem solver, with strong attention to detail and administrative skills as well at the ability to meet deadlines
Strives to continually identify areas for improvement in the business
