We are seeking to welcome a Business Analyst (Band 4T) to join our Digital Transformation Department reporting directly to the Head of Department.
Overall Job Definition
Business Analyst oversees the business analysis duties for software development projects, delivering new
and enhanced products. Advise business partners on process analysis and optimization, as well as the
definition of business requirements. Partner with the product owner/business lead in communicating the
product vision and making sure it’s understood. Supports an environment of creativity, rapid learning, and
experimentation, which leads to innovation.
Main Responsibilities:
Works with stakeholders to identify and document the requirements of the project. They ensure that all requirements are captured in a reference document and effectively communicate those requirements to the development team and stakeholders.
Design, analyze and optimize business processes, including identifying areas where workflow modifications improve efficiency, and document business processes
Supports with requirements specifications, test cases design, acceptance criteria and in the decomposition of complex workflows in smaller parts, so that they can be ready to be implemented.
Ensure that requirements are mapped clearly to the identified business goals. This involves analyzing and identifying risks, dependencies, and changing needs, and incorporating feedback from customers.
Determine functional and non-functional requirements by analyzing the business needs and aligning them with business objectives.
Analyze project activities for possible breaches in business needs and inadequacies in solution delivery.
They ensure that the project implementers have every detail they require to create and implement processes and solutions.
Plays a central role in identifying what is truly valuable, what does not add value, and facilitates the learning and communication needed to continually deliver the right value.
Help stakeholders make decisions about approaches, priorities, and trade-offs to stay focused on continuous value creation in the face of constraints, differing opinions, risks, and complexity.
Collaborate with team members to ensure there is a shared understanding of the need, identify and prioritize requirements that will meet the need.
Works collaboratively with both business and IT teams to ensure that the solutions align with business objectives and requirements, with the ultimate goal of improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Works closely with development team members by preparing solution proposals and prototypes, so everyone is clear and has the same understanding for the requirements.
Depending on the product and platform used, a business analyst support in solution design and implementation, for example in low code/no code platforms.
Support with execution of the test cases and documentation of the results.
Performs or provides coaching to the team during an iteration include facilitating collaboration, generating, examples, transferring knowledge.
Competencies / Skills:
Graduated in computer sciences/economics informatics or related studies.
1+ years of experience in related positions
Requirements management
Business process mapping
Technical Writing
Expertise in conceptual modeling; ability to see the big picture and envision possible solutions.
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Familiarity with requirements techniques such as, user stories, use cases etc.
Competences with various Agile methods, frameworks, tools and strong practical experience with those methods
Strong negotiation skills
Quick learner, able to work independently with limited supervision.
Team player – positive, committed, and selfless, willing to pitch in and help others when needed.
